Mute fit perfectly, didn't need to shave the corks or anything. Tone great, all in all a fantastic mute. Wish more pieces called for cup mutes!

The first mute arrived severely dented, but this seller was very sincere and prompt about sending me a replacement! The replacement also came dented, so for the seller, I would invest in better packaging, but I was able to get it mostly out myself. The mute itself is great! Very attractive design at an affordable price. I will need to file the corks down to fit my trombone better, but it has served very well for the past several months I have had it. The mute resonates very well when you put enough air through it, and the tone is good. I would recommend this mute to any trombonist looking to add a cup mute to their collection!

I should probably sand down the cork a bit so the mute fits better in my bell. That said, the nice thing about the thick corks on this mute is that it will fit in most sizes of trombone. The mute's a bit heavy, but nothing out of the ordinary for a metal cup mute. The hardest thing, of course, is to keep from denting the mute when transporting it to rehearsal.

I bought this for my son and he says it a good product. He says it would be better if it was more versatile and you could get different sound colors. He says it a good product but not as great as Dennis Wick.
