I was turned on to these by my fishing buddy as he was talking them up and proceeded to outcatch me all day. I started by ordering the "Trout Slayer" (micro crawdad) and Crappie Magnet. I used the slayer style all day and my buddy used the split tail grub Trout Magnet. He caught a few more than me, but we both were catching them nearly every other cast it seemed. I bought the TNT kit later that week. Like the title says, I don't get why these things are so effective. They're not a revolutionary design by any means, but wow do they bring 'em in from all around.

These work great for trout and salmon on the fly rod. I caught numerous fish on them using the provided jig heads and colored tails. I also tied the tails onto beadhead jig hooks. Most recently caught a nice Atlantic salmon here on the local TMA. The pink color was the ticket.
