With my pickup having a small bed and the fact that I have a15’ canoe this carrier makes it a breeze to transport. It is adjustable for a high or low transport and it looks good too. It is heavy duty and installs easily, at a great price too you can’t beat it!

I have a Silverado pick-up with a 6.5 ft bed. I have occasionally needed to haul longer boards and recently needed to take 32 fourteen ft. 1x6 boards, 50 miles to a job site. Having the bed extender was perfect for the job. I adjusted the height to have a slight slope back to the cab. Adjusted the width so the boards stacked perfectly. Strapped the boards down, hung a red flag on the end and headed out. After about 5 miles I stopped just to check the load and it was exactly how I started. The road to the job site was pretty curvy and the last part was gravel road. Got there and was so pleased with how the trip had gone. No bouncing, no shifting, and every board in perfect condition. After unloading I took the extender apart for the trip home. I like that it is fairly easy to store in my garage since it comes apart. No concerns so far.

Just got it today and brought it into shop out of the cold. A couple of initial observations. First, I intend to use this as a bed extender, with the long section extending out from the hitch and the shorter section as the upright. As configured this way, I was only able to get access to the bottom pin holes, limiting height adjustment to either 22" or 26", as measured from center of hitch tube to top of the upper rest. When they welded the gusset to the long section right angle, it was just high enough to limit how far down the short section would travel - just short of the pin hole by ~ 1/8" or so. I could remedy this by either grinding off one edge of the short tube, or elongating the pin hole in either section - haven't decided if I need to yet or which option I would take, but allowing the short section to drop that little bit would allow the heigh adjustment to go down to 18" high. Second, it would have been nice if the upper width could be adjusted to carry a full 48" sheet of wood, paneling, sheetrock, etc. However, you can install the uprights facing down with minimal overhang of these products while still maintaining sufficient support - just seems odd to have designed it just short of a common construction width. If you use the anti-rattle clamp, have a 17mm wrench or socket on hand to tighten and/ or loosen the nuts, particularly if you don't want the extender on your truck until you get to the lumber yard, or wish to remove it once you've transported you kayak or canoe to a destination. Finally, if it arrives in cold temps, I would take the appropriate section inside to warm up before applying the reflective tape, and maybe use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the metal and tape first - kind of like license plate tabs, they don't always stay stuck if applied in very cold temps. Overall, everything fit and all the hardware was there as expected, including the anti-rattle clamp and HW, and a 1/2" hitch pin. Nothing was bent or dinged and everything aligned square. Came promptly and fit's the bill - better than hauling out the trailer if you were only needing something as easy and economical as this item. Took one star off for the pin hole misalignment but that's manageable.

I started tent camping again after a 30 yr hiatus. It was boring, so I bought a used canoe. It then occurred to me that even though I have a long bed truck there's still going be a lot sticking out. There was also the issue that I'm an older gal and I have to manipulated the 15 ft canoe by myself.I came across this product on my search, and I'm so glad I did. I love the incredible ease of use. It's so easy to put together. The instructions are great. You don't need a bunch of tools, in fact I just pull it out of the and store it. I also love the versatility of either having it close in an higher or lower and further out. It's easier for me to have it lower. It's super easy with ratchet straps to secure the canoe to the back of the truck. I don't get any rattling from the carrier. I can highly recommend this product. It's easy to put together, easy to use, easy to disassemble if you wanted to, but easy to store still together. Again great product!

Heavy duty materials, very good quality. I’d buy it again but I don’t think I need too, this one is built to last.ik

I like it, but I'll have to make some modifications when I haul plywood or lumber in my Ford Maverick, the extension with the cross section is 6" higher than the truck bed so the plywood won't be level with the truck bed and put too much weight and pressure on the extender. It's OK to port my canoe because it's light, so it doesn't matter if it doesn't rest level with truck bed.
