I have 2 Ram pickups, a 1500 and a 2500. About 150,000 miles ago I installed a dee-zee tailgate damper on the 1500. It still works flawlessly. Received this item today 2-26-25. Started installing it immediately. As you can see in the picture the included tool, used to install the rivnut, failed in a way that makes it completely unusable. Luckily I still had the tool from the deezee kit. Finished installing the rivnut with it. The bolt looking tool on the right is the deezee tool. The rest of the junk in the pic is from this kit. Wishing now that I had purchased the previously mention kit. Just to be clear, getting the rivnut as tight as possible is a very important step. If it's not tight, the bottom of the damper will be loose and eventually disconnect from the tail gate.
