The Tru-Kleen is a safe way to clean and care for your stylus. I’ve been using a less expensive Onzow Zero Dust Stylus Cleaner with good results. However it was difficult to position it under the stylus and I was always worried about it moving and damaging the stylus. I also didn’t want to use a brush or cleaning fluid for fear of accidentally bending the delicate cantilever. The Tru-Kleen is nice because it sits at the right height below the cartridge and you can easily lower the stylus down into the putty and sponge to clean off debris. Just make sure you order the correct size Tru-Kleen to match your turntable dimensions. I do wish the product was lower priced. That is the one reason I held off on purchasing the item and the one negative for me as there are many other affordable alternative products. But the Tru-Kleen is well designed, sturdy, and ready to use out of the box. Keeping your records and your stylus clean promotes great sounding records and stylus longevity. I see the Tru-Kleen lasting the life of my turntable and never needing to be replaced.

If you own a 1st generation VPI Scout DO NOT NOT BUY. No room to swivel the rotating cleaner. You have to move the arm closer to the edge of the table for you to be able to use it. Otherwise it will hit the platter or the tonearm lock. Bought the large one because medium size not available in Amazon. Large size cleaner was above the platter chances are your cartridge will hit the cleaner and damage it.
