It looks good on my brother’s trumpet. It looks like it serve its purpose. He hasn’t complain yet. Overall, very good buy!!

A number of us were shackled to a couch, outside behind the dilapidated shed, and frozen in winter s**t. The bugle trills from this point were slow, like beef jerkey in the lower intestinal track of Robert Prosky. To hold up sheet music and attempt somersaults or the the 4th movement of River Dance in green tights while playing the horn was futile. It also set the neighbor's crusty and nappy bichon into near apoplexy. By Jove, that dog and its tail wagging antics just might drive me to an overdose of Chaleston Chews one of these days. Sheesh, I digress! Frozen and fixed to a couch, we received that gloriously metallic trumpet lyre by way of UPS and it literally set us free! Free to romp about in 3/4 time and belt out a most funky version of the theme song from "What's Happening." Even the bichon barked in unison. Thank you for this emancipating device. Hervé Villechaize smiles down upon us from stratus clouds like floating meringue. I will instruct my children to play Bésame Mucho in honor of you and Mr. Villechaize. Thank you. Gracias. Danke, mit schlag.

My son needed this for his trumpet, and I wasn't sure if it was what he needed but decided to order it anyways for the price. He said it works great. The rubber on the clamp is great protection so it doesn't scratch the finish on his new trumpet. I also bought him a lyre that clamps onto the bell but he uses this one most & is keeping that one that clamps onto the bell as a backup. I think he likes that he can flip his folio around to read music on both sides if needed.

This lyre is no good. The way that it attaches to the trumpet is a bad design because even the slightest weight will cause it to fall off and break the screw. I had to attach it to my 3rd valve slide in order to keep it from falling off, especially since the screw broke. It still comes loose and falls iff anyway. I highly recommend a different lyre that attaches diffrently and doesn't break after 5 uses

Unfortunately did not last my son even half the season! The red rubber part started to peel off and scratched his trumpet. This design does not hold well and he replaced it for the bent stem design.
