My high schooler’s band is playing the National Anthem at Comerica Park tomorrow night and the band teacher couldn’t get the mouthpiece out with his puller and not sure how we would transport the trumpet tomorrow. Got this today in the Nick of time and wow, works great. Three minutes and pulled it out like a charm. No scratches on the trumpet. Great item to have around going forward. At times the mouthpiece gets stuck and it’s a pain having to transport out of the case until the band teacher could fix it. For just a few bucks we now have one of our own!

This product was extremely easy to use, it fit perfectly, & performed its task well. It was a Great value for the money. Definitely a great gift for any Band instructor or Brass player!

I played the trumpet, along with several other instruments, in middle school. I have had the same one since then. Over the years, I have been a little too loose with my treatment of it and the mouthpiece has become stuck several times. in the past, I have gone to the local musical instrument shop and had them pull the mouthpiece out for a nominal charge. Always worth it since I was still playing it periodically back then. Now, it has been sitting for probably 15 years without any use and with the mouthpiece having been stuck the whole time. I am passing it on to my son who is trying to earn his Bugling Merit Badge in Scouts. I do not have a musical instrument shop around me anywhere so I decided to search for a puller that I could use on my own. This one seems to be pretty good quality and the use of it is pretty straight forward. The problem that I am having is that the clamp for securing it to the main section of brass tuning which should be held secure in order to remove the mouthpiece continuously slips past the tubing. I'm sure that the issue is the age of the instrument and not the puller, but it is frustrating either way. I wouldn't my old instrument dissuade you for purchasing this mouthpiece puller. It is high quality and easy to use. I'm just having bad luck and using old equipment.

This product was not able to pull out stuck mouthpiece (trumpet). We ended up getting the more expensive mouthpiece puller and that worked. Apparently something about the design of this one makes it inferior. It is hard to see what the difference was, but the result was that the 50$ puller worked.

We've used it today to pull a mouthpiece that was stuck really bad. It worked really well. Thank you!

Perfect. I was going to pay someone to remove my mouthpiece but this was actually cheaper and more convenient. I keep it in the case in case I have problems while out and can't close the case.

Doesn't come with instructions and wingnuts are a cheap way to tighten it. An adjustable tightening nut would have been more appropriate

This extraction tool is excellent. The mouthpiece of my Selmer trumpet was stuck after I dropped the trumpet at a Panthers NRL footy game.. When I received the tool it took me just 5 minutes to extract the mouthpiece and save myself a lot of angst. It is very easy to use. Instead of paying a third party money to do the job, I can now do it myself. It was ordered and received from Amazon on one day.
