I ordered this handle to replace a 17 1/2 inch handle for a 6 lb true temper sledgehammer.The eye size for my hammer head is 1in by 1 15/16 in oval shape. This16 in long Truper handle measures 11/16 by 7/8 eye size. This handle was for a 6lb sledge hammer. Not even a close fit.If Truper would provide the eye size dimensions with their product description I could have measured mine and learned this handle will not fit. I sent an email to Truper last week giving them the eye size for my trutemper head asking them if the had a short handle that would fit. No reply yet.The product seems to be good quality. The 3 star rating is based on poor product information. What it would cost to return is not worth the trouble to me, will try to find someone I know who can use it.I will update this review to include Truper customer service response when I get one.

The 1st one i recieved wasnt going to work cause of a flaw. No questions asked, they sent me another one and i couldnt ask for much more. Great job. Thanks
