UPDATE! I've now been using this spigot for 2.5 years, and it still works perfectly! If you're on the fence about this little puppy, I recommend that you grab it.I was hesitant to buy this because it's not made by Berkey, but the price fit my budget better, so I ordered it. I'm so glad I did! It's very well made and seems quite a bit sturdier than the one that came with the unit.It was easy to install, and there's no leakage. The larger spout provides a stronger water flow, making it quicker to fill The coffee maker, large pots, etc.I marked the viewer as I filled it, at the one gallon, two gallon, and three gallon level, making it easier to judge how much water is left. No more overfilling, and no more lifting the top half off to see how much water is in the bottom half.I can't compare it to the spigot that Berkey sells because I've never used that one, but I don't know how it could be better than this Tru- View because this one seems perfect.

Very easy to install the 10" spigot on my Big Berkey. Based on other reviews I simple re-used the gaskets that were on the original spigot - no leaks at all. Took the installation as an opportunity to clean the filters and containers to it was a two-fer.Works very well and makes it easy to see how much water remains. Remember that the Berkey filters water slowly so be sure and allow enough time for it to do its job before relying on the water level to be accurate.Worth it's weight since it eliminates the need to constantly lift the top unit off to check the water level (and the chance for banging/damaging the filters in the process). A welcome addition.

this is a needed addition to my rig and is well made. Large faucet has a better flow when filling your cup. The enclosed washers don't inspire confidence but they don't leak so there you go. I found that standard garden hose washers will work which you can get at any hardware store. One thing the plastic hex nut is difficult to tighten by hand - Alexapure used one with wings so you can grab it and turn. So a cheap plastic wrench would have been nice. I was able to tighten it with a 24mm socket wrench - 1" is too big and 15/16" is too small.

Useful for everyone in the home to see the water level to prevent overflow. Due to reading previous reviews I swapped out the washers that it came with and used the existing washers from the original spigot. There's No leaks and it functions as desired. My only con with this product is the price when compared to the price of the Berkey system to me is a bit too high.

This upgrade was affordable and easy to install. I prefer this version to a previous spigot I had that was metal. That one corroded over time. This one has been in use for a month now without issue. I assume there will also be no issues with corrosion as it's is all plastic.

I’ve been through 2 of these spigots now and they both have leaked but in different ways. The first one leaked where the glass sight glass meets the plastic spigot. It leaked an entire night and now my wooden table it was sitting on has permanent water damage. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and requested a replacement thinking this must just be a fluke given all the positive reviews. The second spigot leaks through the hole it is installed in. I’ve taken the Berkey apart about 5 times in a day trying different washer configurations and it leaks no matter what. Maybe instructions would be a good idea to include and not just a useless business card asking for likes. I had to read the questions to find out the recommendation for where the washers go and it still leaks. I had a Berkey brand glass spigot on a big Berkey and ordered this one because I upgraded to an imperial and needed the larger size. The old Berkey spigot never ever leaked so I am just spending the extra money on that one. This one is not worth the $25 savings. Now I need a new table too. The spigot works great. Helps keep the entire barrel from overflowing on a daily basis. Having a flooded kitchen is not ideal and this fixes that problem.
