Bought for installation to my truck for a long drive to a camp site. Didn't want to stop for gas so often. This and an electric pump did the trick. My only complaint is the packaging for shipment was less than suitable. Received the tank with bent mounting brackets and a dent near the drain. Brackets were easily bent back however, a few pieces of wood in the shipping box would have prevented this issue. The tank itself is well constructed and allows for fueling from either side of the truck as most gas pump hoses reach into the bed nearly all the way to the other side rail, which is a nice upgrade.

The tank arrived on time. It is not very heavy and does not require special equipment to unload. The wife and I installed this tank in the bed of 2008 F450 dually. With the placing, marking, drilling and bolting down of the tank it took about six hours. We purchased 2" wide strips of aluminum to use for fastening down the tank. The mounting tabs on the ends of the tank could be used but they limit where the bolts can be placed for drilling through the bed for mounting. The strips worked well and helped make the install easier since we could measure and drill the strips then use them for templates for drilling the bed. We installed a new Fill-Rite diesel transfer pump into one of the 2" bungs; the other we installed the supplied filler cap. This works great for transferring diesel to our tractor or into the F450 as a spare capacity fuel tank. Nice tank, looks good, does not sit above bed rail height except for the pump.

The tank is great! However It arrived without the cap for the fuel input. I called the folks at ATI and they were kind enough to send me a replacement without charge. Based on comments from ATI it would appear that a third party was involved in the sale. as this has happened several times anyway ATI took care of my problem. I would recommend going directly to them if someone needs a tank.

on my first trip, a crack appeared along the seam and diesel began to drip, I don’t know if it’s just me or it’s with all the tanks

I had a couple mounting brackets welded on (didn't cost much) so I could bolt it to my toolbox. I also drilled a hole on top and welded a bung so later on I can use it as a gasoline fuel auxiliary tank and transfer it (on the fly). The finish and all welds were great. My welder complimented how robust this tank looked and felt to him.

Wow. This is some serious build quality, a DOT certified tank for almost all flammable or combustible liquids.Safety is my #1 concern for my fleets and employees. This takes the cake.Thank you ATI!!

I use this with a 120v pump so my girlfriend doesn't have to lift fuel cans for lawnmowers ect. on our farm. Only complaint is now that I'm using it I wish it had a fuel level gauge.
