Although I only used it two times, it's a useful tool that helps prevent even more wasted time if you were to try using something else to turn the tub drain and snap the cross of the drain, break your makeshift tool, or cause other damage to your tub. Our shower tub drain had been installed for over a decade and was incredibly stuck on. Using this tool, I inserted a long screwdriver through one of the holes, and in addition, used an adjustable wrench to grip the hex side of the tool. Using both together gave enough leverage to break the tub drain loose.

Nicely made, peanut money, and beats twisting, spraining your wrists on a pair of channel locks trying to take off the old, corroded drain. Just take your time and go easy, Even If I use it once it's worth the money.

So i bought a new house and doing some maintenance. Decided to replace the old tub drain and install a pop-up drain, and since I didn't have this tool (who would right?) I tried using the handles of a channel lock...and of course too much pressure on only 2 sides broke one of the sides I was forcing, so now I only have 3 sides left.Immediately I got on my phone and ordered this and when it arrived I shot upstairs to try again now armed with the only tool that could save me from my wife's wraith (we need the tub for our 3 yr olds daily bath). Now I'm looking deep into the crusty lime scaled drain fearing it looks seized from all the calcium build up and gave it the ol college try. I was turning it with about the same if not more force than previously and I was waiting for all 3 sides to break off, then CRACK!!! It started to free, and turn, and loosen enough to turn by hand. Oh, Glory hallelujah!

As soon as I tried to turn the drain wrench, 2 teeth broke off. Wrench is no longer usable.

This made the install of a shower drain super easy. No fumbling with a jerryridged tool. I was able to screw the drain in and i noticed it needed more plumbers puddy. I backed the drain out and added it and finished the install. No slipping, fumbling, anything just job complete on to the next one.

Worked for installation of water closet spud. No reason to buy a super high end expensive spud wrench unless you use it a ton. Seams pretty durable too.

This tool made life so easy and clean. It did the job as intended and allowed me to replace our old Bathtub drain quick and simple. In this day of rising costs, this tool made this job doable at a fraction on the cost. Don't try doing the job without this tool!! You will just make a mess of your fiberglass tub and incur much greater costs.
