Easy To Install
- Drill a 3/4" keyhole and put on the lock body.
- Put on the lock body.
- Install the spur washer, rotate the hex nut to fix the lock.
- Adjust the position of the latch, tighten the screw.

Ours was to replace a different type. The one with the cut key. Though it was not a perfect replacement we were able to add an extra washer to the locking mechanism to give it the space it needed to actually lock the compartment. So it isgreat!

This product was purchased to replace a similar item which was 15 years old. This new product was machined very poorly. Parts did not fit and assembly required filing, grinding, and much wiggling to bring all pieces together and make it work. Also, the key does not rotate smoothly in the cylinder, and much manual persuasion is required.It certainly is not "assemble, install and go".

It is a lock that you can install on your own project, or to replace an existing lock. The only problem that I found with it was that I had ordered the wrong size.

It works but doesnt work smoothly. Kind of pain to install. It retains the key when unlocked. No way to install it where the key will come out when locked and unlocked so you have to install it so that the key will come out when locked but stays in when unlocked. Which means i cant leave the key on my keyring because i would have to leave my keys there the whole time its unlocked. It does work as a lock so i gave 2 stars but definitely wouldnt buy again or recommend .
