THIS is a nice paddock boot. I have worn Ariat's in the past (been at least 7 years though) & never really found them very comfy. I rode in these for the 1st time today & they were great-really no break in time. They have a nice, cushy foot bed, zipper seems very stout, leather is soft, but not lacking in structure. I ordered the brown & it is a lovely deep chocolate brown color. I usually wear a 7 & 1/2 or 8 in street shoes---I ordered this in both a 7 & an 8 & sent the 8 back as they were pretty big. The 7 fits perfect with a Zock sock or other thin sock & I do expect that they will stretch a bit, so if you are a 1/2 size, I would recommend ordering down as I found them to run big. I thought, from the picture listed on Amazon, that they would have a smooth sole, but as you can see from my pics they don't---BUT it isn't "chunky" by any means. I like them very much!

My daughter and I had just begun riding lessons a few months ago and we both ordered this brand paddock boot as I didn't want to spend a lot in case it didn't work out. We have been using these since April and they are great! They are very comfortable, not a lot of time breaking them in and they have worked beautifully walking through the barn, getting a bit wet, stepping in all types of fun, lol

These are comfortable and look sharp in person. They are narrow which fits my foot very well so if you wear thicker socks order a size larger. I don't believe they are real leather but it doesn't matter to me as I am pleased overall.

I was pleasantly surprised by these boots.Fit: Normally I wear between a 7.5 and an 8, and based on reviews here I ordered a 7.5. They fit perfect, with a little extra room that will accommodate thicker socks in the winter. The ankle is a little snug -I would say my ankles are average, but possibly on the slimmer side of average. So that could be problematic for some. But for me they are perfect - they will take a small amount of 'breaking in', but the first time I wore them to the barn they didn't rub or feel too stiff - in fact, there are memory foam insoles, which is a nice surprise.Durability: They are a little clunkier than most paddock boots, which I actually like. The sole is pretty thick, so you can do some barn work in them in addition to just riding. They seem pretty solidly constructed, but time will tell if the soles and leather are durable, or if the zipper gives up on me (a common problem with this style of boot).Shipping: They arrived pretty quickly, but the shoe box had a weird stain on it. Like someone had a cat that threw up on it. Fortunately the shoes inside seemed unharmed, but it made me a little queasy.Overall, I give these boots 5 stars and hope they hold up! I ride twice a week and sometimes will spend a good part of the day in my boots, so I would like to get a couple of years out of any pair I buy.

I have a size 10 in boots and ordered this one in a 10.5 . I think they run true to size, so that I probably could have ordered a 10, but it works and they are not too big. They're really comfortable and the leather is soft and there was no break in time for me. The only downside is that this boots in a size 10 makes your feet even look bigger :)So quality is perfect but the appearance makes your feet look slightly longer. ( I guess only in the bigger sizes )

I purchased three pairs of riding boots at the same time. $35 ones for my younger children and this more expensive pair for my older one (hoping another child could use them once grown more). My younger kids got a black and brown pair of shoes. This pair said mocha and looked quite brown in the photos, but they arrived looking black. I have a side by side photo with a $35 pair one of my other children received. The main difference between the $35 pairs and this pair was a fabric flap on the back of the boot at the top. They appear to be the exact same boot other than that. And I was extremely annoyed that this pair looks and feels like someone already wore them and broke them in. They look and feel used. Clean. But used.Did someone have their child use them, then clean them and return them after they grew out of them? The boots look and feel a bit that way. The leather on my other Children’s boots are super firm. This pair feels flimsy in comparison.Moral of the review. The higher cost doesn’t mean higher quality. And if you want brown, this is not the boot for you. Keep scrolling.

My daughter has worn these boots for her past three shows only. They are comfortable and fit good.

My daughter has wide feet and needless to say very picky about her shoes. These are made out of high quality leather and fit her feet just right. She wants to wear them everywhere, not only for riding. (For reference, she's almost 8yo, wears 1.5 adidas sneakers, got sz 2 tuffrider boots and they're perfect with some room maybe less than 1cm to grow).

The boot itself is as expected and as shown in picture but the size fits minimum a size more. I wear size 7 in any type of shoes, boots or sandals these are a big size 8 ...
