I already owned one but bought 2 more for use at a babyshower for making headbands. Really easy to use and the studs stay put. I like decorating with them. I use them on crafts quite frequently.

Seriously, the idea of ironing on rhinestones with a regular iron was keeping me from my project. Then I found this handy guy and boom! Project complete! I thought it worked great.My only complaint was that it seriously drained the batteries and I had to replace them halfway through the project but that's a small price to pay for the convenience of the product.

Worked one time, then never again. Replaced batteries three times thinking it would help. It didn't. When I contacted the seller, they essentially told me I was outta luck - they had no more in stock and they did not do refunds after 4 months. Again - I used it successfully ONCE and then it wouldn't turn on again. No light. No heat. No nothing. Birdbrain Collectables and Scrapbooking was the seller.BIRDBRAIN COLLECTIBLES AND SCRAPBOOKING was the seller and they simply weren't interested in making it right. I checked their store and found the in fact DID have "more in stock". A replacement would have been nice and I was more than willing to ship the defective item back to them in its original condition. I won't be doing business with them again.

This is a lightweight tool that is easy to use and it is great to not have to wrestle with a cord when you are placing rhinestones one by one, however it takes 3 AA batteries for use and it eats them like a rabbit eats carrots. I embellished two t-shirts with matching skirts with a total of about 200 to 250 rhinestones overall and it took 15 batteries to finish. When I sent my husband out for more he came home with a corded iron. I have not tried the corded one yet, but even if it is a little harder to use I will probably not be using this one again unless I need to affix rhinestones on the go. In other words I will be keeping it for emergencies like costumes missing a rhinestone right before a performance, but won't use it for my home projects.

So bummed I bought one and it arrived with the spring rattling in it. I ordered a second thinking it was a fluke, and it was also coming apart. Totally bummed
