This product saved a vintage Sanyo turntable that is 40 years old. The Sanyo audiophile system & components came with the house courtesy of the previous homeowner - this turntable, amp, and tuner are all still original though other components have been updated. Easy to replace - just pop the platter off the turntable deck, after removing the rubber cover which covers open slots to place your fingers for pressure. Flip over the platter, remove the old belt - in this case it was stretched and dried out - place new belt around the inner circle of the platter, flip the platter over, and then gently pull the belt over the spindle. Please keep in mind that when you first play them after installation, records will sound warped & distorted - let the turntable run on its own for about an hour to warm and smooth the belt. After that no trouble - I've been enjoying my vinyl collection and eager to purchase new discs.😎
