I figured this bulb would be just as good as the name brand for the UV unit I have installed. Installation was very easy, the bulb is on and working, and I believe it was good value for the money.

UPDATE: I have now ordered another one of these TUVL-215 replacement lights for my other system, and it arrived with a cracked glass near the base -- see photos. It appears that one out of three were good and it's almost certainly the way it's stuffed into the tube -- I was always very careful when unpacking and removing it. Also, none of the three that I received have ever included gloves (fortunately, I have cotton gloves that came with other items, as one should not touch the glass). While the replacement that arrived unbroken is working well, with the hassles of returning the broken ones, I can no longer recommend this. If you get one that 's not broken, it'll work properly.My air handler uses a FreshAire TUVL-215 UV light bulb that normally lasts two years but costs $130 just for the bulb. Back in 2022, I tried a third-party bulb and my entire house smelled like ozone (think wet dog), so I returned that and ordered the OEM bulbs, which eliminated that problem.Last week, I noticed the bulb was burned out, so I figured I'd order this bulb for less than half the cost. The first bulb arrived with a broken outside glass shell, so I asked Amazon to exchange it.The replacement bulb, which arrived the next day, was not broken. I immediately installed it and am happy to report that it works just fine. The four-pin plug fit it perfectly and it lit right up (no, I didn't look at it directly, which is a bad idea -- I can just see the soft blue glow from around where the bulb goes into the air handler). There is no ozone/wet dog smell.There are two-year and one-year OEM versions of this bulb at different price points. This bulb is guaranteed for one year, but the price is right and I could replace it three times if necessary.So far I'm pleased, but the manufacturer needs to improve their packaging, as I believe the break was caused by excessive stress on the bulb in the inner tube.

Great product from a very good seller. Look at the item number on the burned out one you need to replace, chances are this will be a direct replacement, it fit ours perfectly.

The tube had issues. The two of the four prongs had excess flag and did not allow the connector to be attached. Fixed it by removing the excess metal with factory knife.
