I bought this as part of upgrading my electric smoker. So far so good. It plays nice with my pid and seems to report accurate temp.

Used this one on a powder coating oven and it works great. It is very accurate and I didn't have to adjust my PID controller at all after checking its accuracy. The only thing that I would change if I could would be the length of the cable; I would like for it to be a little longer, other than that I am very pleased with this purchase.

I decided to add a smart temperature alarm to my beer brew pot. I experimented with some cheap meat thermometers but they got corrupted by the liquid beer wort and gave faulty measurements. This real "k-type" thermocouple screws into the threaded boss where the mechanical thermometer was installed and without any calibration trim measures 211.8'F with boiling water, so close enough.

Not a bad thermocouple for the price. The NPT threads aren't too bad and don't leak even under pressure. A good value for the money for sure. Wire appears to be fiberglass insulated which is a plus if you're working with higher or lower temps.
