This vacuum seal mattress bag was exactly what I needed. I didn't use it with a mattress, I used it with an adult sized dog bed I had sewn together and filled with memory foam chunks. Was the perfect size and very easy to use. Material was thick but not too thick. Wasn't worried about it tearing while loading the bed inside. Although the instructions say that it requires two people to zip shut, I did this solo with no issue. After sealing it up, it took roughly 5 minutes to suck all the air out (instructions say it could take 15-20 minutes for an actual mattress) and was easy to stow away. Very happy with this purchase.

I used the bag for my gel pad mattress, it took 5 minutes to deflate! Great product, very strong sturdy bag!

Make sure you use a corded vacuum with reasonable horse power. We shrink wrapped a twin xl using a Shark upright vacuum. The mattress was a foam hybrid with springs—it took 15-20 minutes to remove enough air to roll it up. The straps worked great. It took 2 adults to pull this off. But it works! I can’t say anything about what happens after you open it. Im worried about the springs going back into shape but I’m hopeful though. I would say don’t leave this shrink wrapped for longer than you have to. Use this to move it, but not for long term storage, otherwise you might have a flat pizza mattress that may/may not come back to life.No air leakage, plastic is substantial.

First the box arrived completely beat up but the insides were sealed and seemed to be new, but I worried this was a prior return. It might have been a repurposed return after all.We were able to get the mattress pretty flat. The last inch of the seal wouldn’t seal well at all. We put the two zippers there to help. We were able to get it bound tight enough to put it away but since we didn’t have time we decided it was good enough but I would have returned it if we had more time.It absolutely did not look like the pictures they show!

So, I bought a sleeping bag that was much more than I needed. I thought the winter here in Minnesota was going to be the usual bitter cold and snowy. I was on call a lot with my job and the sleeping bag was in case the car broke down. But the winter was very mild. The sleeping bag was designed to survive in -25 f, so it was heavy and big. Once I got it out of the box to inspect it, of course I couldn’t manage to get it back in the box for storage. However, the vacuum bag was the answer. I was able to compress the sleeping bag to a manageable size and got it back in the storage box with room to spare. Pro tip: if you want to put them in a storage box, like a Tupperware type of storage plastic box , put the garments in the plastic vacuum bag and put that in the storage box and then suction the air out of the bag. Don’t suction the air out first and then try to stuff it into the storage box, because it’s much harder to do it that way.

I wasn't 100% confident an 8" twin size memory foam mattress would fit, but it did. Better with someone helping you get it fitted inside. Use care when unboxing and opening the bag, one pinhole or tear and its over. It will take some time extracting the air with a vacuum, but be patient. Once 40% of the air was out, we very gently used our body weight to help it along. We used a Bissell Power Force helix (bagless) vacuum to do it. If you have a stronger vacuum, it should extract much quicker. Decent for the price. Although I'm not sure how this would hold up for repeated use, as we used it to save space while storing a mattress, however it was still worth it.

Perfect for moving. Straps are a nice addition, however not quite strong enough. Sucked down a twin memory foam 10 inch mattress easily. I’ll buy again if needed.
