I needed an adapter so that I can use my suppressor on my 1911 which has a thread of 37/64x28, and on my other guns which have a thread of 1/2x28. With this adapted I can use the suppressor on both. So without the adapter my can fits my 1911 and when I want to use it on a different gun like my 9mm carbine, I use this adapter and its perfect. Will definitely buy again.
