I bought this for upstairs now that the comcast gateway/wireless router are gone (got sonic, which is FANTASTIC). anyway the signal from this upstairs AP is great. It is the stronger signal in some spots over the AP that I have mounted downstairs. It's a pretty big house, ~4500 SF. Master bed and bath in the downstairs apartment had passable signal from the existing AP, but with this install it gets great signal now. I guess it penetrates the floor better than the older version penetrates several walls?? I don't know, but I may be upgrading the older APs and reconsidering the mounting locations.
