UHMW-PE, also known as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with an average molecular weight greater than 2 million, formed by the polymerization of ethylene and butadiene monomers under the action of a catalyst.

The wear resistance of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipes is 4-7 times higher than that of ordinary steel pipes and 27.3 times higher than that of stainless steel pipes. It is 17.9 times that of phenolic resin, 6 times that of nylon 6, and 4 times that of polyethylene, with an average annual wear rate of 0.58 mm, which improves the service life of the pipeline.
Impact resistance
Among existing engineering plastics, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has the highest impact toughness value, and its impact strength at room temperature is more than 10 times that of PE100. As the ambient temperature decreases, its impact resistance becomes stronger.
Corrosion resistance
It can withstand the erosion of most corrosive media and organic solvents. Can be used longer.

It's exactly as described in the ad, and works really well for my purposes. Machines really nicely. Cutting with a table saw tends to melt the plastic a bit, and you will see that the faces cut during manufacturing are not precisely flat or uniform. Was just what I needed.

I order a black piece and received the white material. Black would have matched the rest of my project, however I didn't want to wait for another block.

Use it almost everyday. Works great. Light taps transfer solid positive movement for lvp, LVT and laminate. Just watch your fingers and wear gloves because even a light tap will make you think you broke a finger.
