It works great as well as it is solidly built, It can be used from table top height as well as standing or sitting height very comfortably, I did add just a bit of silicone caulk to the steel tip just as a precaution against loss (any kind of adhesive would work). It's a great buy for anyone... I did add a v yoke holder atop mine for a pistol support.

This is a sturdy, lightweight monopod and hiking pole. The clips are nice and tight, so no slipping when it's extended. I do wish the grip was a bit lower or longer, as when I use it as a monopod for my camera and long lens, I prefer to hold the monopod lower than where the grip is for better balance. But what's really bugging me is the screw-in metal spike at the bottom. I'm not sure why it's designed to unscrew since there's nothing to replace it with (the rubber foot slips on over the metal spike). No matter how tightly I screw in the spike, within just a few minutes, it's loose again. Then it rattles and makes noise, and eventually falls off. Tightening it is pretty much impossible without detaching the pole from my camera or shortening it - which is irritating to do every 5 minutes while out on a wildlife photography hike. Luckily, the solution is relatively simple - I plan to add a dab of superglue to permanently attach the spike.

I purchased two of these; one for me and one for a buddy who got into photography after I gave him a Nikon DSLR. Now he's hooked and this monopod helps him get better pictures because it provides a better and streadier way to get sharp shots than hand-holding his camera! Good stuff and HIGHLY recommended!

Forgot our monopod so we ordered this with overnight delivery. It was great. Worked just like it should have. The only difference from ours is ours has a tilting base but this one was perfect for what we needed it for. The rubber foot covers a spike for soft earth and is totally removable all together. Includes two different sizes of base screws as well.

I’m using it on my Sony 7iii with a 70-200mm lens - works great. Easy to set. Nice strap. Has a hidden spike under the rubber foot. Great value for the price.
