Unicook grill covers are made with a new generation of FADE RESISTANT fabric which will not fade in direct sunlight. If a cover fades easily in the sun, it will become brittle and fall apart shortly as the construction of the fabric is deteriorated by the UV radiation from the inside.
Material is an important feature for grill cover, that’s why we have our product material tested repeatedly in the third lab. Under the standard of AATCC 16E, after 720AFU colorfastness to light testing, the test result of our material is up to Grade 4 (Grey Scale Rating is based on the 5-step scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is bad and 5 is good), while materials used for common grill covers from other brands can only reach Grade 1 or 2.

This grill cover is easy to take off and put on. I like the fact that it has handles and is a bit oversized. It can be sealed tightly with the easy-to-use Velcro straps (so the wind does not blow it off). I liked it so much I bought a second one for my other grill.

So, I got my hands on a new grill cover (for free) this week. I went out to the grill to look at the old one and make sure the new "free" one fit correctly. I thought I was going to just keep the new one in reserve, and I still might, but I did notice the old one (the Unicook I'm actually reviewing), had a little bit of wear signs. Namely the four corners had worn through. Other than that, there was no deterioration and little if any fading. The material did not feel brittle or as if it would start falling apart.I came back in the house and looked up when I'd bought it. I had completely forgotten and honestly thought it was only a couple of years old. Turns out, I bought it in May of 2019. It sits on my patio and is covered by a balcony above. However, it has sat out there in the blazing heat and icy cold Ohio climate for the last 6 years. The only critique I can find is that the corners are wearing through where the steel of the grill have rubbed on it for 6 years.I guess I just can't be angry about that. I've had a number of covers for other items we have outdoors and I'm all but certain none of them are that old. Things wear out, it's just the way it is. This cover is not worn "out", it's just showing signs of wear. If I hadn't got a new one by chance, I wouldn't have even looked at the old one until this spring.Anyway, I see they have a new edition of this one. If it's as good as this one, I'd buy it again for sure.

Last 5 years exposed to the sun. 4 years without any defect, finally getting some tears on the corners. It IS NOT LINED on the inside and will not shed onto the grill [and stain the stainless steel] like all my previous covers. Handles are make putting on an off a breeze. Slippery enough inside that adjusting it is very easy. For the price, $5 a year is wonderful. Just ordered my replacement.

Wanted to use this grill cover to cover the original one for protection during the winter but this cover was much sturdier & heavier so the old cover is now protecting the brand new one which we'll use I hope for a long time.

This is a really great quality cover! I dare say that it's nicer and heavier than the one that originally came with my KitchenAid BBQ. I purchased the 60" option even though my BBQ measures 55" across and it fits beautifully -- coming down long enough to completely cover the unit without touching the ground. With Velcro straps on both sides, the cover cinches in to ensure a tight fit that won't billow up or blow off. I highly recommend this item!
