Heavy gauge steel frame with a wide stance. The 2-leg version comes completely assembled (except for tool tray) and locks into place with smooth quick releases. The hardware seems robust and the fittings are heavy plastic. The frame clamp has softer plastic pads where they contact the bike frame. This product is everything a bike repair enthusiast needs in a repair stand.Assembly note: When attaching the horizontal clamping arm onto the upright tube, it may help to seat the fitting down with a rubber mallet so it engages completely.Use note: When rotating bike while on the stand, it helps to take some weight off the bike while tightening the red knob at the back. This ensures a good engagement of the toothed joint on the arm.

A little awkward getting the bike in and out of the clamp but works great once it's in. I like that it includes a nice tool tray and a handlebar holder. Haven't tried anything too heavy, just regular bikes.

Okay, I got this on sale for like $50. For that, I am happy with my purchase. I read all the reviews of this item and other stands that are the same but branded differently. This thing is not super sturdy. You should know better than to do anything that puts a lot of downward pressure on a mounted bike with a low quality stand like this. IT clearly can't handle something like cranking down a peddle. Bike needs to be on the ground for stuff like that (which you can achieve with this stand by angling it).The big flaw is the plastic mount that connects the metal tubes. Makes sure it is all the way on before doing anything with the stand. Don't over tighten any of the plastic parts. Don't over do it with this stand and you will be fine.I've had a beach cruiser, MTB, and my road bike all in this at different times for various reasons and have been able to do basic maintenance and cleaning. For that, it has been well worth it. If you are going to be using this a ton, doing heavy maintenance, or bike building, up your budget.Don't expect blue tool quality at this price and you will be fine.

Pros:Works great and the quick release is very helpful. It is sturdy enough for light and medium bikes that I have. And looks to be able to handle heavier bikes as well. Folds into quite compact size than many high end expensive stands.Cons:It is a bit heavier for its size but we are not taking it on a backpacking trip so shouldn't be a problem. The tray is good too and has magnet to hold screws but is is facing forward and that might be a hindrance when pedaling while on stand. For bikes with external cable routing, like bare cable sticking out, the clamp holds it tight so braking or shifting might be affected. In this case, need to clamp to seat post and problem solved.//Overall, for tight budget and rare usage, don't look back. Customer service is good too, I received clamp head without a screw and they sent me replacement to correct it. Good response from seller.

Fell apart. Bolts are so short the first couple of threads on two of the three legs stripped off. I may have folded it 3 times and it came apart.

The stand is lighter than I thought it would be, but it's also sturdy. I installed my 75 pound eBike on it and left it on over night, and it was all good. There were no instructions for putting it together, but it was pretty obvious and took no time at all. A few minutes. Overall, I think for under $100, it's a solid deal.

This is it, an affordable bike repair stand that works wellI've used a 3 legged model at my friend's garage before for fixing my hybrid bike but found that the tripod style legs got in the way if I wanted to move myself to the other sideWith this 2 legged model, the legs are close to flat on the ground so it is easier for me to move around the bike without easily tripping overIt balances well too, I've even mounted an electric bike in it and it held up well, just need to know where the center of gravity of the bike is.Great value for the money and has all the features I neededI can store it easily when not needed too

I was really impressed with the build and features of this stand and I think it's just what I was looking for! I've never had a maintenance stand for bikes, and it was always a minor challenge to work on them - either on the garage floor or on the workbench. But those days are over I think. I wanted something portable that I could fold-up and put in the corner when not in use, or throw into the SUV if needed. (and it was affordable, to run by my price considerate partner, if you know what I mean) This definitely fits the bill in all those areas. The features are nice, including the little tool holder/tray which also has a magnet in the tray so small pieces of bike hardware stays put. It was easy to assemble with a nice guide book.I took off a star because the two screws with nuts to the angle support brackets were shipped loose. I had to find one nut loose in the box. These were clearly not tightened-down properly, and could have easily been lost. Fortunately I found them, or it would have been a trip to the hardware store . . .(also, the nice little tool/parts tray they include fits on the lower, fatter upright piece. This is fine if you don't collapse the stand, but if you do, the tray gets in the way of it fully collapsing. I intend on moving this tray to the upper, narrower extension tube piece, using some rubber shims to make it fit right.)Disclaimer - I haven't actually used it yet, and if there are any issues, I will definitely do an update - otherwise I deem it a good buy!

The top bracket on the stand was installed backwards. I had to drill out the rivets and reverse the bracket, other wise it is a good stand.
