So far, so good.I differ a bit from some of the other reviewers; I don't think it's "cheaply" made, just "inexpensively" made. My copy of this galvanometer seems to be decently made from inexpensive materials. You will not get a high-end, world-class, scientific instrument with a rugged metal casing for $13.50.I had figured out how to make a device similar to this for myself, and had searched out and identified the parts to build the thing. But the cost of the cheapest, used, +- 50uA, panel mount micro Ampere meter alone I could find cost more than this whole United Scientific MGV003 DC Galvanometer. When I saw this on Amazon, I stopped looking to make my own and just ordered this. I love making my own things, and am good at it, but sometimes an inexpensive alternative to all your ideas and efforts just kinda falls in your lap, so you'd be a dummy not to take advantage of it.All I would need in addition to this device would be a set of banana plug-to-spring loaded hooks test leads to plug into this meter's jacks, and leave there for when I need to use it. Simple, and it saved me time and money. The meter arrived in an obviously custom shaped styrofoam container, and that was in a box filled with padding, so my shipping experience was positive.I work on guitars and end up having a lot of electric guitar pickups pass through my hands. More than a few of these pickups have no markings whatsoever to identify them, so I use meters to identify pickup wiring; coil start wire, coil end wire, winding direction, and so forth, to help me know exactly how to create simple to very complex guitar wiring schemes.I saw this galvanometer on Amazon and thought it would be perfect for guitar pickup work. The +-50uA range is perfect for guitar pickups.I have no idea what others might use this meter for, but for me and the gentle, several-times-per-week use for which I bought, I thinks it is a great deal for the money. Not to mention that the viewing panel is plenty big enough for my aging eyes to see!

I design low voltage electronic circuits and needed this meter to verify output.

The meter was defective. Even after using the screw at the bottom center of the face, I could not zero the scale. The picture attached shows how close I could get it. Not worth the trouble of returning, but also useless for most of my purposes in using it. The product itself is really neat and works great, but without being able to zero it, I am completely unsatisfied.

Nice looking meter, haven't actually tried it yet but the needle movement appears to sensitive so no reason why it shouldn't work very well. This package arrived very quickly, within less than a week, very happy with that as well.

Worked great for demonstrating electromagnetic induction and the resulting AC current.

Very basic galvanometer. Not sure of the accuracy but just using it to check polarity on guitar pickups and it seems to do the trick.

It registers ma easily and the contacts are easy to connect.
