The hose ends have aluminum crimping ferrules, and many of the fittings don't have any barbs on the nipples for hose retention. Some have very slight ridges, but barely.It would probably work, but given how much refrigerant cost and how much effort goes into building an AC system I think I would prefer better quality pieces.For reference I have one previously that came from a speed catalog company, and I prefer it.I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You

I have not installed this hose kit. It comes with a variety of hose links and fittings making it adjustable to fit your needs. The air conditioner hose is thick and the fittings are well made. This is a really nice kit to have when dealing with multiple cars.
