I hate snow and I hate getting old!!! And the older I get the more I hate the snow. But this little gadget warms me up inside!! I like that I can choose the shovel/tool that I put this on son I didn't have to settle for the flimsy plastic shoves that come with the ergo handle. Great idea, solid product. I had to get used to the bendy/flexible part but it makes sense and works well! Highly recommend you buy a good shovel and then add this to it!

I am a short woman trying to use man sized tools. This helps save my back when shoveling. My SO recently had back surgery and said this works well.

I bought this ergonomic converter to help relieve my back when I'm shoveling snow. So with Murphy's Law, it hasn't snowed again. I will be prepared when the next snow comes. There were comments about this sliding on the shovels stick, I cut a small piece of craft foam to wrap on the stick beforehard and tightened this down onto the stick. I think it will be fine and ill amend my 4 stars to 5 if it works well.

I have not had a chance to use it yet, but it fits well on my shovel handle (1 1/2").I complaints about it not gripping the shovel handle securely enough and sliding out of place. Once I get a chance to use it and determine the best location for it on the shovel handle, I plan to drill a hole through the clamp and install a screw to secure it in place.

Pros: Adds second handle to shovel for more leverageCons: No instructions - took a little time to figure out how to assemble. The black shaft/bar between the handle and clamp is flexible, but I have no idea what it's made of- perhaps some flexible metal/plastic rod encased in a plastic coating. How well will it hold up to repeated use? When it fails, will it simply snap? The overall materials and build quality are just OK. The twist nuts to tighten the clamp are not that big, so you have to work harder to tighten it securely. The handle is a hard plastic, not as comfortable as handles on some of my other tools, but since I usually wear gloves, it's not a big deal.

When I opened the box 2 pieces were missing. I has to return it because it was useless without parts number 3 and 4.

Don't hesitate to order one of these handles! It installs quickly and easily. And it gives you so much better leverage when shoveling. It really saves the wear and tear on your back and shoulders for a very reasonable price. I liked it so much, I ordered a second one for another shovel. I highly recommend it!
