It is made with chrome plated, heat treated alloy steel with strong gear teeth and easy-flip reversing mechanism. Has square openings ¼” and 3/16” at one end; 3/8” and 5/16” at the other. Comes with Uniweld’s DHVA Dual Hex Wrench Adaptor which is also made with heat treated alloy steel and plated to prevent rust. The DHVA was designed to lock into the wrench at the middle of the adaptor. This allows the hex adaptor to fit deep inside and fully engage the 3/16” and 5/16” hex liquid and suction valves on residential and commercial equipment.

perfect for puming down and great for acetyline tanks. keeping the wrench on the acetyline tank is a great safety practice. the yellow jacket model.is good but i find the the allen key tool is a short for the liquid line on some units. uniweld brand allen tool works great for all units and the offset comes handy when line sets and electrical conduit is blocking the access to service valves.

The tool does the job but it would be better if the smaller diameter hex end was at least a quarter inch shorter. I might cut or grind mine down a bit. Seems to slip at times when using the tool in the larger diameter hex valve, as if you want it to go slightly deeper for a better bite- which the smaller hex end portion doesn't permit you to do. Good bang for the buck. Only way to improve the tool beyond that is to have the ratchet action geared so that you get more twist than you physically give it, in order to speed up the closing of the valve when you need it (like doing a pump down).

The adapter always slips out in the middle of use I think hilmer or yellow jacket might be a better use of money
