Used for the first time yesterday. The flakes melt very nicely. There is a slight color to the wax when first poured, however it dries to a very pretty white without blemish. I am very happy with the quality and will be purchasing again.

Melted soy wax in heater, once wax was clear, I poured wax over wood chips that I have sitting in silicone ice trays. Once the wax was back to a solid state, I popped the wood chip/soy wax cubes out for fire starting. Depending on how much wax is around the wood chips, it takes a bit to get them started, but once started, they burn for about 20 to 30 mins, which is plenty of time to get a good fire going. I use them to start fires in fireplaces, bbq pit, and outside fire pits. I will add my pictures later on.

For the price you really can’t beat it, good value for the money as far as smell I always add some kind of scent so that hasn’t been a problem… my daughter sometimes says it smells like Jamaican patties but personally I think she’s just looking for an excuse to and buy some Jamaican patties… heats up melts very quickly so definitely keep an eye on it.
