This is a simple way to see what a heads up display looks like in your vehicle. It operates pretty simply, you just stick it to the inside of your windshield, where it sticks somehow, possibly by static cling? Anyway, it is removable and reusable, which is handy when you are installing it, and don't get the spot just right. You need to first figure out where you have a good place on your dash that you can make sure your phone doesn't move while driving, and is still in a good position to reflect the mirror image this product provides while not actually blocking your normal view, under the center rear view mirror is usually a good spot. if you have a magsafe ring a magnetic disc mount works well for making sure you phone doesn't slide around, and there are other options out there as well, such as the alien tape type products which work quite well for this application. Once you have the phone location figured out and it is secured in place it's time to mount the heads up display film. This is best done at night, or in a location with as subdued lighting as possible. You will need to sit exactly as you would when driving, turn your phone on, and for this step make sure it is on full brightness, then move the heads up film around against the windshield until you have a good view of the face of the phone. Unless your phone has been located close to you, you have a really narrow vehicle, or very long arms, you may want to enlist the help of a friend to move the heads up film around for you until you have found just the right spot. Make sure the area is very clean, then apply the film to the area, if it's not quite right the film is always removable, and can be washed and reused as much as necessary. Congratulations, you now have a heads up display. But everything is backwards! Never fear. There are a variety of heads up display apps on the play store that not only reverse things for you, but many offer built in features like speedometer, compass, navigation, etc., as well. You can now adjust your brightness on your phone to the level that allows you to both see the heads up display image, AND see through it as well so you can see traffic and the road. This item works very well at night, and in rainy or very cloudy conditions, but not always as well in bright sunlight. It is a functional heads up display none the less, and is kinda fun to use. I think this is a really cool product, and at less than $9, it is a really inexpensive way to try something new, and I highly recommend you try it if you have been at all curious about these types of displays!

My purpose in ordering this reflective film was for the grandkids' bikes. There are 2 sheets, each 5" x 6". They cut easily so we will be "decorating" each bike in prime areas for proper reflection if need be. They don't bike after dark often but on the rare occasion they do this will be very helpful. I love that these are quite transparent so wherever we place them it will not detract from the colors or paint on the bike. This would make a wonderful item to add to a rural mailbox for dark or foggy days or on your trashcans if you have to set them out overnight for pickup. There are so many great uses for these and I'll likely be buying more!
