I've had 3 of these, each failed 4 to 6 months. #3 just went bad. Forget the price, forget the "15 year warranty". When it fails I'm hauling and paying for 200lbs of ice a day, and I pay my certified repairman to install the new one. My repairman says this is typical of aftermarket parts. Since the 4th one will take one week to get here, and a genuine Manatowic was available (here on Amazon) overnight and on Sunday delivery, I'm bailing on a 4th replacement with this brand. My original Manatowic ice probe lasted 8 years from when the machine was new, hopefully the Manatowic probe will last another 8. This aftermarket was originally ordered because it could get here the fastest, but it was not worth the ongoing problems.

I am a technician and order this for a Manitowoc ice unit at a factory. A very high end repair. Was successful and I got it back going between this and a good cleaning. Unfortunately 3 weeks later my customer contacts me outside that is happening again. I cannot afford to go to a company and pick up a huge unit like that bring it back to my shop lose days over faulty parts.
