This makes all the difference when cooking ground meat. I hate single use kitchen items that take up so much room in the drawers, but this one is an exception. It makes breaking up the block of meat into uniform pieces an absolute breeze. The meat cooks faster and evenly when chopped up with this gadget.I'm planning to try it with some cooked chicken to see if it helps to shred it, I think it might. If so, I'd give it a 10 rating.I also like that it's really sturdy and has not melted when sitting on the edge of a hot pan.

My son has wanted one of these for quite some time, so it became a "bonus" birthday gift as he prepares to move out on his own. I wasn't disappointed by his THRILLED reaction. I got one for us at the same time. My husband didn't understand what all the fuss and celebration were about - then he used it to mash potatoes and declared, "This is the BEST potato masher EVER!!!" My response? Wait until you use it for meat! We love it! WHY did we wait to long to get it? This is a great weight, does the job, and will last a long time! Very sturdy construction!

This worked great to break up ground beef for tacos! It works much better than the potato type mashers.I was pleased that it was so easy to use and that it is not sharp to the touch at all. It is a hard plastic. I got it in black because I did not know if it could be stained.

Wish I met this Heat Resistant Meat Chopper sooner, as I love to make ground meat dishes. It is so simple but perfection. There is not much else to say other than it is a must have, and makes a perfect gift. It is heat resistant to if you leave it standing up in your hot skillet it dose not melt at all. Since buying this for myself, I have since bought one for my two grown kids and some friends. The price is right too. WINNER WINNER Ground Meat Dinner.

This is the one tool I never knew I needed! It makes breaking up ground meat so much easier and faster compared to using a regular spatula or spoon.
