I saw similar condition rings in clear acrylic somewhere, and I liked the idea, but immediately wanted to be able to write on them and didn't think clear was a good choice for that. (Also maybe it's just me but virtually anything written on clear acrylic quickly becomes hard to be read in most backgrounds.)The solid-color rings seemed like a great alternative, because you can write on the back.Mostly, they are successful. They do use white or black inking depending on the color of the ring, and they got it right most of the time. There are only a couple that are hard to read due to lack of contrast: banished, paralyzed, and restrained. Most of the condition choices are solid. All the official D&D conditions are (theoretically) covered. Banished is a weird choice for a condition ring; the effect is literally that the affected entity is no longer there so it's usually handled by removing the affected mini. So what do you put the ring around? I guess you could put it where the entity will eventually reappear. Likewise, prone is already pretty well handled by putting the mini on its side. Would happily trade banished and prone for faerie fire and sleep. "On fire" might be a good choice as well, or maybe that's just the party I DM for. But being able to write on the back largely mitigates not having every possible condition. There's one empty slot in the container they ship in. Would be nice to have four white rings with nothing written on them so your first four DIY rings don't restrict your options. (That said it's a rare group that needs 4 hunters mark or 4 hexed rings.)All in all I don't think they look/feel quite as classy as the clear acrylic ones, but I think they're more practical.I also think they should include a color quick reference on the inside of the box lid. I'll probably make one of my own.Update: I originally received a set that was missing one set of rings ("invisibility" -- insert your joke here, it pretty much writes itself). Had some trouble contacting the seller, but that problem proved to be on Amazon's end. Once we were in bidirectional communication, the seller had replacements sent out right away and those were fine.

I bought this product as a gift for my Forever DM aka my friend who runs all of our campaigns. We originally played via theatre of the mind but have since switched to physical dungeon tiles, minis, etc. These conditions rings have accommodated the various sizes of our PC minis (small to large), and have helped us as players to keep track of our buffs and hindrances. The set comes with several rings for each condition and the quality is great. If you’re looking to buy condition rings for your campaign, then this is for you.

There are many different brands of condition rings out there for D&D. I got these because of the solid coloring of the rings. Many others have more transparent rings with darker wording. I like these as the solid colors of the rings stand out better. You know which each one is. The lettering is also very easy to read and see. Between that and the solid and vibrant coloring you'll be able to easily tell which each ring refers to. They are sturdy and the case they come with is also pretty sturdy as well. Not overly heavy by any means, but not flimsy either. If you're going to buy condition rings for your D&D game, or other RPG game, I would definitely suggest these as they are great quality, and for a very reasonable price.

purchase. Came when scheduled, rings look good and are in a nice case. They are a gift, so I gave 4 stars as I do not know the end result of using the rings. I feel like I got a quality product.

I love this product. I first discovered it at a gaming convention when our DM used them at the table, so I went to amazon and bought the exact set for myself. I love that it comes with so many status trackers but also markers so that you can create your own (which I have already done myself lol). This is such a great asset for DMs, I no longer have to write down conditions in my notes all the while still forgetting about them.

I spent quite some time comparing these to other markers out there and am so glad that I chose these! The markers come in a neat and convenient small plastic box, snugly fitted within foam. Very easy to transport amongst the many other things to carry around as a DM.I found these great as it has commonly used spell effects which we use regularly in our games like ‘hunters Mark’ and ‘faerie fire’.The markers were in the incorrect slots to the lid labels on the box, but that was easily fixed by shuffling them around to the correct spots. A very minor but fun task which enabled me to check that all the pieces were there and correct, which they were all accounted for.The names are very clear compared to the background colours. The print is sturdily etched onto the plastic and doesn’t look like they will rub off. Opaque is great compared to transparent, so that we can write other effects quite easily on the back eg: sleepIt’s a shame that these are out of stock. I’d love to purchase another set to give as a gift to others who DM.

The rings are beautiful and the lettering is easy to read. The case with the padding inside in compact and organises all the rings nicely. They aren't in the proper positions when you first get them, though. Make sure you have all the conditions you want tracked before buying. It's not a dealbreaker though, as you can write on the other side of the rings with a whiteboard marker.

These are great, just wish the were a couple of other conditions covered but the blank backs take an easy print erase so no issue for those exotic hardly used situations. Used many times, and so far have had enough at any time to cover my groups. I would buy again if i needed more. They’re pricey but sturdy so I’m happy with the purchase and the case is simple solid and well marked to find what you need. If you play d&d these are not a must have, but you won’t regret having them when combat gets complex.
