First or all it is a nice piece of Kit. You get everything pictured and it fits nicely into the Bag.The Meter itself is solidly built, but the cables that come with it are a bit cheap. There is one extra battery that is like half the size of a AAA battery that comes with it. I am not sure if it is a spare battery for inside the unit. The manual does not mention it.The thing I wanted to Review was actually using it and getting measurements. The Manual and the LCD displays abbreviated messages are really hard to follow.I know that the best result one can realistically hope for with ground resistance reading is about 5 Ohms.First thing to Note as a word of warning is that once the wires are hooked up you must for go into the AC volt mode on the Meter first and make sure you have very little or no stray AC voyage running into the Meter from the probes. Consult the manual, it specifies how much the Meter can handle before it gets damaged.I pounded all four ground spikes all the way down at max cable distance and clipped on the cables as described in the manual. I did a four wire test the first time hooked to one of my ground rods and I got 0.245 Ohms. This is rubbish and I ignored it.I tried the test again and used another Method and I got 246 Ohms. This was a lot higher than I expected, especially since it had rained the day before, so I ignored that.I finally abandoned testing using that method and moved to the 4 Point Soil Ground reading mentioned in the manual which requires the ground Spikes to be barely pushed down into the soil.I set all of the Menu settings again, which are very Cryptic at first. I put the probes in 5 Meters apart in a straight line as suggested and sunk the spike down 2.5cm as suggested. I tested and got a reading of 2.95 Ohms which is a bit to optimistic to make me feel comfortable with the result.I know this meter works, I just cannot figure out from the manual how to use it properly. If I tap down one of the Spikes even an 1/2 inch extra the readings drop. If I wet the area around a Spike the readings drop as expected. If I put the rods closer than recommended the readings drop proportionately to the distance. If I had a known reference to work with I could figure it out, but I don't!I cannot find a proper Video to see how to set the settings right and the Manual is hard to understand. This will move to a 5 Star review if they make a video clarifying the usage and calibration info or at the least fix up the Manual.

It is a meter with good suite of features. Comes with a manual that is clear. There are enough accessories to make measurements. My purpose was earthing for a solar electric fence. It is adequate for this purpose. Gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because I would have liked the ability to measure higher ground voltages and it would have been even nicer if it could measure the high voltage up to say 19KV on the fence wire.
