I was looking for a direct replacement for my current ice chest, and this worked flawlessly. All I had to do was take the old one out and slide this new one in. Total time for replacement took me only five minutes. This thing works exactly like the original.

This lasted less than a month. First the ice jammed and we had to clear that all the time. Then the auger (cheap plastic) broke and sent plastic down with ice. We gave up and went direct to the GE site and purchased a GE product. It has worked perfectly. Don’t waste your money on this one.

I was concerned that this was not going to fit because our refrigerator is a little bit old. But it's perfect and it works great the ice cubes come out excellent! Super happy highly recommend this company! A++

I ordered the auger first, but found out there was additional damage, so I ordered the complete assembly. Ice cubes and crushed ice feeds great.

It broke within 2 months. Part of the metal from the ice crusher in the mechanism just snapped off and fell into a cup of water. Seems potentially dangerous. I haven't been able to find contact info. for the manufacturer. See picture. One Star.Edit, 3/10/2025 - I was able to contact the seller on Amazon, and they asked me to order another, which I did. They then refunded the cost of the second ice bin. They offer one warranty replacment. Hopefully the manufacturer will strengthen the metal that they use.

Perfect fit and function. Actually compatible with GE refrigerators older than purchased in 2017. Ours was new in the house constructed in 2004.
