This bar is sturdy, but not overly heavy. It was easy to install on the wooden porch post with the six long screws included. My mother in law will be able to get up and down the two steps to her home more easily and safely with this bar in place. I chose this one, even though it was a bit more expensive than some similar ones, because it has additional braces between the main tubes, and so more grip access when needed. I was impressed that it did not get overly hot to touch, even on a hot sunny day here. Great product!

Product is sturdy if mounted to wood. To catch framing at door jambs, I had to toenail the screws significantly on the outside holes due to the spacing of the holes on the product. Drywall mounting is inadequate for strength.

Stair handrail works great. Only concern is if the baseplate will stay fully attached to the rail. Baseplate could have been a slight bit thicker and the welds a little better. However, I would purchase it again.

Perfect for that big step to door and looks handsome, sturdy. Bought longer screws for a solid bite into the door frame. And now we’re getting another one for the other door!

Rails arrived in timely manner. They are exactly as described. I did not install them because of an oversight on my part so I will use them on another project. They are a very good value for the money. Certainly look easy to install.

Solid weldment & not & assembly ... Very sturdy if screwed to studs ... I had to drill extra holes to hit the studs with 6 screws ... I used deck screws 21/2" ... They might consider adding holes in the center of the plate to hit the studs in 2 places for each hole .... Could be 5 " or 6" longer ...

For seniors this has been a useful addition for that little step up or down into or out of the front door. It is even sturdy enough to lean against a little when trying to manage passage with groceries or other items in hand
