I had to replace a front fender on one of my older trucks, I purchased a used fender which was in great shape on the outside, but had a bit of rust down where it mounted close to the rocker panel, I cleaned away the rust and sprayed this U-POL undercoating, it came in a 15oz can and was black in color. Testing the undercoating on a panel before applying it went on easy (seemed a bit thin at first), but covered nicely. It does have a slight textured finish, but for where I'm going to apply it, no one will be seeing it. Nice product!

Used this just to fix up a couple of wheel wells on my project car. Keep the can warm and shook up very well. The spray wants to splatter at times, so just watch the angles. Definitely ok for areas out of site.

Got this to touch up some spots on the undercarriage of my f-150 and I'm very happy with this product it sprayed well with nice thick coats and minimal splatter, I used this in my heated garage so i can't say it would have worked so well in the cold but it worked great for me i would recommend this product!

OOPs....UPDATE. I got my products switched around while reviewing them. I thought this review was for the lacquer paint. It should have been for the under coating that I have now used. Not really an issue though as the under coating is a great product too. It should stand up to stone chips and scratches from sticks etc under my truck with good results. It reminds me of the under coating/rust preventive that car makers used on the outside of rocker panels in the past that they painted over. It will protect much better than just a coat of paint for sure.I have used two of U-POL's primers, sandable and filler primers and top coated them with this black lacquer. They all seem to work together well and look good. I'm pretty sure it will last at least until I can get time to give my truck a full paintjob.

Well as you can see in the photo I attached to this review this is definitely a gray color not a black. Now thanks to this I have to go spend more money to buy an actual black paint to cover this up so that it matches the rest of the bed liner rust preventative spray that my truck is done in because this is way off from a black. And as you can see in this picture I sprayed this three or four times and could not get a even coat. It sprays more like a stream than I missed. It's absolute garbage, it doesn't even have a texture to it and the spray nozzle clogged badly. I sent a message to the seller and they never bothered to respond. And now that it's been a little while here's an updated picture of my truck that looks horrible now and you can see there are spots where it's coming off already
