Having an extra car seat base makes things so much easier. Anytime we can keep the baby in the carrier and just click into the base or the stroller and not transfer out of the carrier and wake baby up, is a win. Easy to install, and if you have trouble, you can always find easy YouTube tutorials.

My husband and I both have these in our cars. It makes attaching the car seat very easy and quick. We have the Mesa v2 car seat.

I had a car seat technician install my UPPAbaby Mesa car seat bases though with the step-by-step instructions I felt I could do it myself. Automatically, he could tell the high quality of the product. He noted it was well made and appreciated the level system installed on the base. As for buying an additional base, was very pleased with how affordable it was!
