Excellent quality. Worked great. We followed the seasoning steps before use. During the first attempt at cooking Poffertjes I noticed a little sticking, but the recipe we were using called for brushing melted butter in the wells before pouring in batter. For the subsequent batches I sprayed a little PAM across the wells and this seemed to work better. Took a little while for us to get acquainted with the wooden utensils, which never using before we soon became old pro's at rolling the Poffertjes over in the wells. This Poffertjes we made are to accompany my daughter's final school project on the Netherlands. We both learned a lot from this endeavor and enjoyed cooking together. They were delicious and I'm sure we'll be trying different "Dutch Donuts" recipes in the near future. My only complaint is the silicon sleeve on the handle doesn't insulate very well. Does its job at protecting you from inadvertent burns while holding handle to move skillet, but if cooking for a while may still want to use an oven mitt, etc.

You have to season it after each use to prevent rusting. Just because it does rust (because the person didn't season it or left it in the sink or in water) doesn't mean its not good. All cast iron material HAS to be seasoned and dried after each use. Meaning, wash with mild detergent dry it and spray oil on it before storing away. I have a lot of cast iron cookware and I oil them after each use. Cast Iron last for decades literally. The more you use them the more they become non-stick. DO NOT LET THEM SIT IN THE SINK OR IN WATER. If so the iron can leave a ring in the sink. If this happens just use a steel wool on the sink to get the rust mark off. It comes right off. IF a cast iron does get some rust, you can steel wool it lightly but immediately preseason it. Best of luck, all cast iron cookware are a good investment. They retain their heat and cook food well.

I bought this pan to make poffertjes with. I was impressed with the weight of the pan out of the box, and it appeared to be as described, if not better. We followed the instructions provided for seasoning the pan (thank you for the instructions!) and I used the pan the very next morning. Pan sits well on my gas burner and the poffertjes came out well, takes a bit of practice to turn them but they included some wooden turner chopstick things which I wasn't expecting. I used melted butter on the inside of the holes during cooking. No sticking so far. Afterwards I rinsed the pan quickly and then dried thoroughly and re-oiled with coconut oil. No rust so far. I followed other peoples advice and only put the silicone handle on when I wanted to hold the pan, as it does get too hot if you left it on all the time. Overall - great price for a solid item, I'm giving it 4 stars as I need to use it a bit more to make sure it goes the distance.

I love it !I did 3 rounds of seasoning. Regular vegetable oil, 475 F oven for 1 hour, repeat. The very first batch were dreadful, and got stuck. But it was easy to scrape it all off with the skewers. After that, it's been wonderful to use. Had to experiment to get the perfect stovetop setting, so it doesn't overheat. Now it's almost non-stick. Made my mom jealous :P

Complete lie about the size and video post is a complete. How to use it also a lie.The videos should be pulled down and tell the customer the actual size. Video shows how you could use the pan to make various dishes ...not true. I also set my house on fire by following the usage instructions.

Works well. My only complaints are minor—The recipe book included is riddled with errors.. don’t follow out. And the silicon handle protector still gets very hot, so use a hot pad.I would also suggest that the cast iron actually works better on flat top electric stove versus the bumpy grates on a gas stove. You also don’t really need the wooden sticks - a toothpick or kabob stick works just fine. All in all, it worked well. Practice and the right recipe is what will make your æbleskiver perfect.

I carelessly bought this pan, thinking it was a larger one. It is not much bigger than a dinner plate. It's almost that exact size, if not a bit smaller. The wells inside the iron are incredibly small and shallow, making it incredibly difficult to actually rotate or flip these pancake balls. Because of their incredibly small size, it is also extraordinarily difficult to put any fillings in these. Expert makers who can deal with small wells might enjoy this, but I would tell beginners to stay away from this pan.As for the expert cooks who might look into this pan, it is cast iron, and requires care, as such... But be aware that these wells are almost oval-like rather than spherical, and quite small. The instructions recommend "flipping" the pancake rather than rotating them to make a sphere.Because there are 19 holes, you also have to work extremely fast between each pancake ball.As a beginner, I'm going to look for a better pan—one that had bigger wells and is more ideal for fillings. I should have been more careful while shopping.

We’ve had this pan for a couple of years now. It was hard to master the art of making these. I learned to use waffle batter and have oil in the wells (at least 1/2 tsp). Fill your well and then wait for a slight crust (test by moving it with a toothpick). Then, turn the ball halfway (the uncooked batter from your ball will spill into the well), wait until a crust starts to form, and then flip it thoroughly to make the ball. It's a blast once you’ve figured out the trick to making these. My family loves them! -also, avoid adding any additional filling until you’ve mastered making the ball shape. Trust me. 🤓

The product is nothing but a piece of useless material. It is sticky, greasy and not works at all. Even if you hit slowly and doing patiently still it doesn’t work.
