These poles have an ergonomic grip that engages core muscles as you walk, burning more calories than walking without poles. They also keep your wrist in a neutral position to reduce strain.
Lightweight Yet Durable
Made with high-grade aluminum, these lightweight, gray poles are 1.44 lb. (.655 kg) per pair, ideal for a maximum user weight of 320 lb. (193 kg). Each pole has a 225 lb. (102 kg) weight-bearing capacity.
Adjustable Height
Each 3-section collapsible pole may be adjusted to your height, suitable for heights up to 6'4" (127 to 193 cm). When collapsed, its length is 25" (64 cm) for travel, 20% shorter than 2 sectional poles.

I purchased the Urban Poling - ACTIVATOR 2 poles. I have been used them for three weeks now and have been very pleased with them. They arrived sooner than expected, were easy to set up, and very sturdy. I did order the boot replacement tips as I use the poles for Nordic style walking.I reviewed the various types of Nordic poles and decided on the Urban Poling - ACTIVATOR 2 poles because they could collapse to a convenient size for travel, and because they did not have hand/wrist straps. I did not want my hands encumbered by straps if I needed to release them suddenly.It did not take long to get use to using the poles, alternating left foot with right hand, and left hand with right foot. As promised, the poles provided stability, engaged my arms, shoulders and back muscles, and encouraged improved posture.I would highly recommend Urban Poling - ACTIVATOR 2 poles.UPDATE: I have been using these poles for well over a year now and still loving them!

I bought these for my 91 year old father that had three operations in the last two years for broken hip and leg. They work great. He is slowly growing his strength back. They cause him to stand tall and he feels younger because he is not using a cain.

I greatly need assistance in supporting my back when I walk. These poles do so very well. The problem is not having straps attached to the grip area. When one is doing something with one or both hands and not walking, the pole must be leaned against something, laid down, put under the arm or held by someone else. This is a major flaw with an otherwise great walking aid.

my husband has been using regular hiking poles with walking tips for balance. Like Ski poles, he had to pause each time to put on the straps at the top to keep them stable. The Activator2 poles - to accomodate his height - are a bit sturdier and very easy to adjust for height. They have two click in place catches that don't slip. The handles are great. They don't need straps and they support the edge of the hand, making them much more stable. Finally, the end has a round rubber tip that also provides stability. There's a point inside if you want to use it for hiking up trails, but for everything else, the rubber tips are great.

Great pole for exercises in the park. Comfortable grip, no banging as walk and easy to adjust. No straps is plus to me on road, but if i was on mountain that might be issue. They best made order poles i found. My standard poles better, but i combined, one set poles, to different set grips, with different feet for vibration damping. I walk 3 miles day, 7 day week,at three different lengths, but need travel poles, mine are fixed. If you have big hands or wear mittens, grip might be to small. I am mens large, fit me great. In winter i have used grip with straps.

These are by far the best walking sticks I have ever owned. They are quality made and they were a lifesaver for me on our recent Italy vacation. They are definitely worth every penny. Trust me, these will be the best walking sticks you have ever owned. I needed the wrist loop holder so I made my own and they work perfect for me.

I like absolutely everything about these poles. Very sturdy, excellent grasp both at the hands and at the tips that hit the floor. What a fantastic tool for those of us who have mobility issues and balance issues.

I am being treated for lower back pain and as I have balance problems as well the Dr. recommended short walks with the use of walking poles. I bought these as they were recommended for rehab and designed by an OT. I’ve found them to be sturdy and manageable. The Dr. was impressed with my purchase as well.
