This is a great upgrade from your OEM part. Luckily mine broke in a safe place. I was able to order this and it came next day with Amazon prime. I did the installation myself and it took about 30 minutes. Now I feel more confident with this part because it’s made out of metal versus the plastic original. I read online people were getting quoted $250 from the dealership for parts and labor. I saved quite a bit of money doing it myself.

My 2016 MK7 GTI was smoking when I pulled into my driveway after work one day and narrowed it down to this piece. In my research this seems to be a somewhat common issue on the platform. I needed it one day shipping so just went for the Amazon option since it’s a pretty simple part. Everything fit great. Reused the stock rubber hose. No issues to report. I recommend replacing the stock plastic part before it fails, or just going with this part if you need a quick replacement.

Was driving on the HWY when my coolant light came on, discovered leak at the OEM plastic flnge/adapter. This one showed up and is far superior to the OEM Plastic junk that came on the car. When I removed my original it had split in 2, I had to fish the bottom piece and the O ring out of the head. Went in easy and NO LEAKS. I would give this a 5 star however I have only 10km on this part.
