I LOVE this easel. It is very well made, no issues of splinters or loose parts. The frame is durable and sturdy, and it is smooth to work on as well.I will be upgrading to the A2 version of this to replace another brand of a2 table top easel I have because this one is so well made.The only thing I wish this and the other sizes of this would offer- more adjustable slots for the height. I'd love to see a 90 degree angle offered and even lower angles offered for this to be fully customizeable.Also, if there was a way to shorten the actual stand for the easel, so it doesn't take up as much table space (for this and the bigger sizes), this would just put it as the top product out there.Overall, I can highly recommend this product for sure.

I was in the market for a portable drawing board that was lightweight and not cumbersome. Typical student clipboard-style drawing boards are cheaper, but heavier weight, and therefore more cumbersome, so I went with the square-edge board. Additionally, I decided to go with one that could serve as an easel as well, to reduce the number of things that I need to carry. This one checks all the boxes--very light weight *and* it can be set up at a variety of angles or used flat. It's also very sturdy to work with, doesn't slide around on the table when I draw on it, and never feels wobbly when drawing near the upper corners of the board, as can happen with tripod-style easels. I thought the landscape orientation might be limiting, but I tested it out, and if I ever want to use it in portrait orientation, I still have the option of attaching it to a standard easel and using it that way as well. I highly recommend this!

I am an illustrator who works with pen and ink to create illustrated poetry for art prints or for magazine illustrations. I've been working on my studio desk for years, but have been finding the angle of work to be hard on my posture. I thought that I'd try a drawing board to see if it would help make art more comfortable.I ended up purchasing the US Supply brand since it was inexpensive, but now that I've used it for the last few months, I have grown to love it. Sketching with the board on its lowest slope has proven to be very comfortable. The board is steady and easy for me to move around the house so that I'm not stuck in my studio all the time when I work. I have not brought the board out of the house as yet, but I have seen other artists bring theirs to art shows and I feel that I could do this too since the board is lightweight and folds securely.One note, the board does not have a smooth surface. It is natural wood and thus has a slight texture. I usually draw in art pads or journals, so this is not an issue for me, but if you want to sketch or paint on a single sheet of paper, I would find some kind of thin backing to put under your work. The lip on the bottom of the board should support everything and keep you working.

They shipped this internationally in its own product packaging, without even any tape holding the box shut. The box had multiple holes and tears in it and one end was practically hanging open.The actual product feels flimsy. The board you draw on is 1mm thick and if you apply any pressure at all it feels like it will crack. I bought this one for its size and I regret it terribly, since the other I considered has a thicker back board I’ll be returning this one in favor of that one, even though I’ll be giving up some of the size. I don’t want to be constantly worried that the product will snap with a small amount of force. Super disappointing to have imported such a cheap product for a mid-high price.
