Ordered this to vacuum up the fine dirt in our above ground pool. Works great.

I been through a few of these over the years and found they work quite well. The biggest design flaw is the the plastic pin that holds the the handle to the head.It snaps easily. A trip to the hardware store for a long skinny bolt will fix it.But by then the spring loaded intact vent covers (also thin plastic) will have failed too.I used to consider these a disposable item, but I see a 1 year warranty is offered. I'll bookmark this page for next year's replacement

I have owned and taken care of a pool for over 40 years, this is the best vacuum head I have had yet, it’s easy to use, works well and is affordable!

It works as it should, wish it was weighted more and had more bristles. Other then minor gripes it works good and vacuums the bottom of the pool decent.

I was prepared not to like this design but was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I have an in ground gunite salt water pool finished in Pebble Tech which has a very open, granular but smooth finish which can, over years, accumulate fine silty dirt and is a great anchor for algae. After returning from a 5 day vacation in late August the late summer heat brought on an algae bloom that had me vacuuming my first day home. My 12 year old broom style vacuum brush was not up for it and snapped just as I had started. I researched vacuum heads and decided on the U.S. Pool 13" with nylon bristles. When it arrived a few days later the pool was in horrible shape so I got to work and was surprised at the learning curve on how to maneuver this brush head. It probably would have immediately worked fine on a vinyl or fiberglass pool but the Pebble Tech finish offered a considerable amount of resistance as the wide spacing of the bristles from the front edge to back, combined with the excellent suction made it challenging to push the head across the bottom. I eventually found the lower the angle of the pole the easier it was to navigate and ultimately over the course of 2 days vacuuming, filter cartridge cleaning and shocking was able to get the algae under control and the pool back to sparkling. The only un-positive (which is different than negative) I have is the head will not navigate the curve where the wall arcs into the bottom (probably because the head is deeper [front to back] than the arc itself so it hits the bottom before coming off the wall instead of just riding it down and through, and, it is somewhat difficult to actuate the angle of the head to maintain contact when brushing down the walls as the pressure on the rear brushes as you apply the head to the wall causes the front of the head to hinge up, away, from the wall. That said, this is a great brush, incredibly more suction than any other I have used to date and I would definitely buy it again. I will supplement this with a straight broom type to get into the corners and the wall-bottom curve, but this will easily do the other 95% of the pool.

I use this for my pool cleaning jobs and it works better than many others I’ve used, so far it has been used well over 50 times on vinyl and more and still holds up! Compared to its competitors, it’s nice. It’s weighted and hasn’t fallen apart yet!
