Initially, I almost returned this product. I'm glad I didn't miss out on something quite good in the end. The default settings and accessories of this product are based on PET type strapping, but I use PP type. After receiving this tool, I found it could neither weld the strapping nor cut it. Upon consulting the manual, I found the inability to cut was due to the wrong spring. After switching to the longer spring as instructed, it could cut, but still couldn't weld. My coworker was quite discouraged and suggested returning it. I thought it unlikely for a new product to be faulty right off the bat, and if it could be adjusted, it would save us a lot of time. After all, getting a new one would take at least two days, and our work doesn't allow us to wait that long.So, I contacted customer service for the product. Although their response wasn't as fast as I had hoped, it was still timely. Following their guidance, we adjusted this part, as shown in the picture. The screw in the picture needs to be turned counterclockwise about a full turn, and finally, the PP straps could be welded. You might need to fine-tune it a bit, aiming for the press to not be too hard to press down while ensuring the welding is solid.I've already suggested to customer service that it would be best to include this adjustment step in their manual, otherwise, many customers might miss out on this great product.

Steel is of course stronger for Lumber unit slide off, we use forklifts and don't have a problem.It's so handy to carry a box of strapping and this portable tensioner that welds and cuts. Saves timeWould buy another
