I had no urgent use for this camera, but was fascinated with the technology. (Okay, I also wanted to look into my outer ear. It felt as if I had some unknown type of roughness--it didn't.) You need to download the app, from the Apple Store in my case. The only thing was that when I searched USee (the name of the app) the app I wanted was the second one listed. Why do they do that?Anyway, as soon as I downloaded and opened the app it told me that the camera wasn't plugged in. I plugged it in with the supplied cord, and voila, the camera was working, bright and sharp.Good product at a great price. I recommend it even if you're looking for a interesting electronic toy.

I bought it to use with my Android phone (USBC connector), but the camera includes a Lightning adapter so it also works on my wife's iPhone. I use it at work to grab serial numbers so I don't have to rip desks apart, and we've used it to look inside drop ceilings and walls, searching for wires. It has a small light, but in really dark spots we needed an additional lamp to see what we were doing.Note that you have to install the Useeplus app to use it; it does not work with the phone's built-in camera app. However, the app will export pictures to your phone's picture library.

I purchased this to look in my walls and hvac vents... I had some insulation blown into the walls and it seems they missed some areas. I also have some vents that aren't doing what they should (1972 split level house) in some of my rooms. I got the camera to try to investigate some of that, it mostly works for the walls but not so much at all for the vents. You can see to a point and then just nothing, the light doesn't light it up enough (these are standard 3-4" rigid ducts, or whatever). If I move it around, I can see some stuff, but it's already nearly impossible to navigate it down to where I need it to go.Overall, it does work but not as well as it could.

This looks like it would just be a regular USB Video Class Device (UVC), but it's not. It will only work with its own proprietary app, which is only available on iOS and Android. I'm trying to use this with a laptop. You CANNOT use this camera with a normal desktop or laptop computer, nor can you use any mobile app other than Xscope.

It's amazing how often this thing comes in handy now that I own it. I bought this to scope out a bulkhead but it also came in really handy to learn that our bathroom vent had an old birds nest and then to help me clear it out, and I've also used it for scoping wires behind walls. The video and photo quality is quite clear. It's sometimes inconvenient that the cable is a bit stiff and you want it to bend around a corner but too flimsy also wouldn't be very good. The app is a bit outdated but I like that it starts as soon as you plug in the device and overall it's easy to use and does everything it needs to. I appreciate that this came with multiple heads for different needs, hook and magnet.

Really well built and designed snake camera, have used it a multitude of times it has paid itself off many many times over the only minute negative comment I can make is about the app that’s required to use the snake camera. It only has one viewing format and that’s portrait so you can’t turn your phone or iPad, 90° or landscape to make viewing easier, but that’s a very minor inconvenience. The cameras, crisp, clean small in profile decent resolution and the LEDs are incredibly bright for looking inside of dark wall cavities. The mirror add-on lens is incredible as is the hooked end attachment, which I’ve used a couple of times to retrieve items from inside wall voids.I will say this pick yourself up a little carry case for it to keep all the adapters and bits together in one place and don’t wind it too tight, but it is absolutely a great snake camera

This bore cam has great resolution and a light that will work in most applications. Easy to use and the app is also very user friendly. Great buy.

It does work and is okay for the price, but even at the brightest setting the light doesn't provide a very good view in dark places. Even in well lit places the camera view appears quite dim.
