A great little piece of kit that solves a very specific problem (usually drivers) that PC users face. It works like a champ on even the older hardware (I've only tried it on Linux, and each distro I've tried it on finds it without a reboot or anything). The sound quality is on par with onboard devices, and other than the bulky cabling sticking out of your PC, it is almost invisible. Once you set the volume on the device itself, using the software volume control of the OS is seamless and unobtrusive.Get one of these if you need a sound card and your modern OS hates your old one (or you get a PC with a dodgy realtek chipset like some of the BMAX computers have.) It's brainlessly simple to use and it won't break the bank (or take up a PCI slot in your PC.)

I purchased a used computer that came with no sound card.This product solved my problem. Easy installation, just plug into USB port.

I have a set of headphones that have 3.5 mm jacks for the earphones and mic and what I want to use them with has no 3.5 mm jacks, only USB. That's where this handy little device saved the day for me. Plugged the headphones into it and then plugged it into my device and it just worked. The adjustability using the buttons was an added bonus. Very happy with it.

A top of the line DAC unit. This device is a complete Digital to Analog converter. it replaces a sound card. I have installed 4 of these and drive 4 different sound systems in my home from my PC. Each system is independent and I run a different source on each of these devices. No noise or distortion. You will see a few of these devices under different brand names ranging in price from $20 + down to 6.80 They all use the same Chip .

I am a retired IT geek who likes the older Panasonic Toughbooks AND Linux.The Toughbooks however don't like some of the Linux modules and vice versa.Sound is one. It's possible to re-code the file that allows the onboard sound to wok but a pain and temporary.THIS little thing plugged in, speakers plugged in and BOOM great sound.Love it.

Cuando conecto la extension del cable USB ya no funciona, no se a que se deba, pero tiene que estar conectado directamente a la computadora para que funcione, lo que es muy impractico.
