Working alone digging out some broken post. Used this with a 4x4 as leverage and it worked great. It would have been a job to get the concrete out without this aide.

Used the post method and was able to remove ten concrete anchored posts. 4 were rotted and broken off at ground level. Still had to clear dirt from area, however, this really made the job so much easier.

It wasn't working with the 4x4 not enough chain changed 1 1/2 steel pipe and it was good.

I had a 20 year old fence post next to my house's foundation that I wanted to remove. The post had been cut near the base and the remaining wooden stump had deteriorated. I had to dig at least 8-10 inches around the post with a hand shovel, while repeatedly hitting the post from all directions with a mallet. Eventually the post started to move in the soil. After this, the tool was able to grip the stump and pull the post up out of the hole. No high lift jack needed, I used an old pipe I had lying around as a lever. Well designed and recommended.

The cable broke under just hand tension when I put it around the post.

It works to help implement a farm/ranch known technique for removing fence posts. BUT - they make it too short. The manufacturer assumes the fence post is only a 4x4, when in reality the post is likely embedded in concrete. The cinch portion is too short for that to work on concrete embedded posts. The instructions mentioned that in this case the offending post should have its concrete chipped away. My opinion is this is not practical - why not make the cinch portion longer? In my case I had to do just that by modifying the assembly to make it longer. Doubled the cost of the product so I can use it in a real world situation - it's just too short as-is.If you already have a logging chain none of this is likely necessary.

Ordered to remove an old concreted post and it came right up out of the ground like nothing. Very simple and easy to use and overall great quality. Even had my wife try and she was able to accomplish a post removal with ease. Highly recommend
