Very comfy, soft, and fuzzy. The star, brass, and hammer/sickle shine brilliantly in the black, the ear flags are very comfortable too, the hat is nice and warm, but not too much if left tied in the up position when indoors. I got an XL-sized hat to fit my giant head, and it STILL has enough room so thats its not tight, but stays in place without sitting too low or high!I definently recommend this wonderful hat to anyone that wants a cool-looking ushanka thats not made from actual fur thats at a wonderful price! Exceptional quality too, everything is tightly sewn and the quilted interior is patterned perfectly. I adore how this matches my black oilskin overcoat, and that it comes with a soviet star that matches the soviet badges on my coat.So if you wanna be warm and look cool this winter, this is the hat for you~ ^_^Plus, its made in Moscow, Russia! Wearing it reminds me of my youth in the Soviet Union for I had one of these when I was a child~

Warmest hat you'll probably ever buy! Fit me well (surprised since I often struggle finding hats that are big enough), and it's amazingly comfortable. Ear flaps are long and keep snow and wind out, soft and super warm. Emblem is high quality and real metal.Only reason for 4 stars on craftsmanship is that one of the stitches on the front flap popped, after less than a month of use, but other than that no issues. Would highly recommend.

I bought an XL for a 12-year-old boy and I believe it will fit well. I am a grown woman and it fit me perfectly. Telling you that for perspective. I'm a snob when it comes to tailoring and I will tell you that this hat is perfectly made. The front of the hat has a Russian medallion and it is a brad so you can easily remove it and replace if you so desire. I will be buying one for myself and attaching a Russian coin to the front with a brad even though I do love the sickle and hammer emblem. The stitching on this hat is fantastic: no loose string, thick quilt, fur that doesn't fall off when brushed. The ear flaps are tied together at the top of the hat with a black ribbon long enough to tie into an inconspicuous bow but short enough so as not to distract when the muffs are in place. Once you untie the bow, you will lower the muffs and the neck warmer, which again, fits perfectly around the nape. The tab inside the hat is soft plastic so it won't scratch the skin, and it is labelled "Made in Russia" in both English and Russian. The size chart is Russian and an XL is a Size 62. Label says the hat is 100% polyester. This is my second purchase this season of clothing that is impeccable in every sense of the word. I couldn't be happier!

This is by far the warmest hat I've ever owned and I don't regret buying it for a second. When it was delivered my parents were concerned as to what was in the box because of other unusual things I've purchased (gas masks, knives, inflatable suits, etc.), but after I pulled it out of the box and shopping bag with a picture of America that said "Thank you for your purchase" my dad immediately took it from my hands and tried it on himself! I've worn it to bed every night sine I got it and it's kept me nice and warm through the unusually cold fall we've had in Ohio. I only have three very minor problems with it. One of the metal wires on the back of the badge was very brittle and broke off just a few minutes after I opened the box, but the other is still in good shape and holds the badge on, if a little loosely. This isn't really a problem for me though as I don't wear the badge in public for fear of being assaulted by someone with bad memories from the Cold War or someone with an exceptionally patriotic personality. Two, I ordered an XL and it's just a little bit big on my head, so maybe order a size down from what you think would fit. It might just be me mistakenly measuring my own enormous head, but just to be safe I'd measure twice next time. And finally, probably the biggest problem is that I only own one of these. If money wasn't an issue I'd get one for everyone in my family. It's incredibly well-made, very soft and as I said before unbelievably warm. Oh and as an additional plus, the shipping was very quick, especially considering where it was coming from.

I've had this hat for a few years and it has stood the test of time. Even up in Canada it is warm enough for our winters and is more than durable enough for everyday wear. The pin is removable (thankfully), allowing for you to use this outside of just costumes.

it's kinda chunky but that's probably cause I got the wrong size, my fault for that.Good quality, couldn't recommend this more if your looking for this kinda hat!most definitely good for winter, snow and cold days from the fluff and fabric in it. I loved this
