I needed this tool to etch/engrave a name on kid-sized stainless steel forks and spoons for my kid to take in their lunch. It works great. Feels like writing with a pen that is loud and vibrates slightly. I used level 3 (out of 5) and it the letters are clearly visible on the handles of this cutlery. I labeled probably 15 pieces of silverware in about 3 minutes. Not much different than writing on them with a ballpoint pen, but it’s permanently etched in there. Highly recommend if your use case is similar to mine.

I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but wow!! This thing is powerful. I used it to carve into wood and stone and it worked like a charm. It’s small and convenient for small projects. Excited for all the things I’m going to create with this!

What I love about this is it works great for my purposes, which is to label some things like phone blocks etc to deter sticky fingers lol I plan to use it on a standing floor fan I brought in to work and left there and some thermometers that need to be numbered.it's got 4 chisel pointed engraving tools and 2 screws that hold them in. 1 screw is already in the engraver. The stencils are handy and I like that this is corded not battery operated. If you don’t care about neat writing it’s good without stencils lol. It IS loud so make sure your sleeping grandbaby is not nearby lol

Worked great for first few minutes and then it heated up and started to stall. I let it cool down overnight, but that didn’t fix it, the steel bit just stays in place and doesn’t vibrate properly. I checked the parts, cleaned everything, and tried to repair it but it doesn’t work like it did at first. I suspect it’s either a manufacturing error, or the motor overheated and burned out which is unacceptable for just ten minutes of use. I would return it, but sadly I never got around to use it until several months after purchase, so it’s too late. Would not recommend.

did not work well on wood, need to go back to a wood burner. too hard to do much with it.Do not buy.I also just tried it as I was away and now past return
