I have Vitiligo and need to wear gloves to prevent sun damage to my hands (no melanin). I wore these gloves last week when I drove 2200 miles over three days. They are very comfortable, do the job and as an added bonus you can work your phone or in car infotainment system with them on.

I have several pair of Coolibar brand UV gloves. I just received these and would have to say the quality is almost as good, but these cost far less. The fit is the same and the finishes are very similar. I am an averaged sized female and ordered the Medium for both brands and fits great. Love Amazon's return policy should they not hold up after wearing for awhile, but they look well made and don't expect that to be the case.

First, the fit is perfect. I followed their instructions for hand measurement. I like the stretch. I like the UV protection. I use these for walks and hikes. However, what's missing is a clip to stow the gloves. Hiking gloves (or biking for that matter) should have a clip. That way when I take the gloves off, I can clip them together and hang them on a D-ring on the front of my pack. Without the clip, I have to stow them in a pants pocket (my pockets are already committed to other items). So inconvenient. Nice gloves for UV cover.

Every day for 131 days I walked the length of the country with these gloves to protect my hands. Yep, I'm one of those crazy people, and these gloves were amazing. No sunburn every using them every day through the desert and high alpine conditions I was in, all the while being used with trekking poles so there's more friction at work. They survived swarms of mosquitos, thunderstorms, and countless washings in random laundromats.Granted, they don't look like new. Not anywhere close to that! They're beat up, there are holes in the fingers I used most, and they've picked up a few stains. But still, they survived a summer of HARD use! That's impressive. One of my favorite items I took on trail, I'll be buying a few more of these for my adventures. Weirdly, they started to show signs of heavy wear at about mile 600, but then for the next 1800 miles they just plateaued? And even though I bought a backup pair for when they did fail they just...never failed??? I'm kinda surprised by that, although pleased. It seems that the weak parts of the gloves just gave out at 600 miles but then the rest of it was fine.Highly recommended. Wonderfully surprised. Will try and update review with photo of the before and after from the adventure.

I got these to protect my hands while driving. There your hands sit, at the 10 and 2 position on the steering wheel, baking in the sun. After reading several reviews for these and other similarly described gloves on Amazon, I ordered these and another brand. I opted to keep these because the fit was a little better, and they have a very slight rubberized or silicon pattern printed on the palm side that improves the grip. The fabric on both pairs was essentially identical. I'm very skeptical of the promised UPF 50+ claim. Who certifies that? The Skin Cancer Foundation seal of approval is not provided in the description. I've since learned that darker colors provide more protection so, instead of white, black is the better choice. Naturally I would expect them to feel warmer in the sun. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends that stretchy fabrics be worn in a larger size because the weave will open and allow more light to penetrate if the garment is tightly fitting. I would not expect these gloves to stand up to athletic use, such as cycling, tennis, anything where friction and perspiration would combine to put stress on the fabric and seams. For taking a walk in the sun, or holding the steering wheel they should last a long time.

These driving gloves have proven to be an excellent choice for me. As someone sensitive to sunlight and prone to burns (even though the car windshield), I needed a solution to shield my hands without adding heat in this scorching summer. These gloves have excellently met that need. The touchscreen compatibility is an added bonus, allowing me to make adjustments without removing them and also preventing fingerprint smudges. I'm so pleased with them that I've already placed an order for a second pair.
